There is still one spot up for grabs for the LAN event, with ENCE, Spirit, FunPlus Phoenix and K23 all still in the running.
The upper bracket of the European IEM Winter closed qualifier ended today, with fnatic and MOUZ securing their spots at the LAN event, scheduled for December 2-12.
fnatic were playing their first games with Owen "smooya" Butterfield as an official member, and confidently marched through their bracket with comfortable 2-0 wins over first Complexity, and then FunPlus Phoenix. It was an important qualifier for a fnatic squad that failed to make it to the Major, and will not feature at the year ending BLAST World Final either.

As for MOUZ, they also secured their LAN berth with two 2-0 series, over 9z and K23, but were made to work a little harder for their victories, a map going to overtime in each series.
The qualifier will conclude on Tuesday with the lower bracket, where K23 will be taking on ENCE, and FunPlus Phoenix will face off against Spirit, the winners of which will battle it out for the final spot left for IEM Winter.
